MONDAY, JULY 28, 2025, Board of Supervisor’s Public Hearing on Conditional Use Permit 24-01 – the proposed Green Ridge mega landfill.

We have a very short time for us to mobilize all citizens of Cumberland County to let our voices be heard loud and clear –
we do not want nor need this proposed landfill!
Don’t wait until July 28 th to take action but start NOW –
Call, email, or write your District Supervisor or send your message to all of the supervisors.

There is a protest scheduled for Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. at the Cumberland County District Court, 1 Courthouse Cir, Cumberland, VA 23040, USA.

Our Mission Statement
Cumberland County Landfill Alert (CCLA) is a group of concerned citizens who are united in their opposition to the proposed County Waste's/Green Ridge Recycling and Disposal Facility plans to site a Mega Multi-State Landfill in eastern Cumberland County, Virginia.
CCLA values honesty, integrity, open communication, respect, and accountability. CCLA strives to provide relevant, factual, and current information to all followers.

There are many ways to get involved and fight for our beautiful county. This project will not only impact Cumberland, but the surrounding counties heavily, and all the counties along the James River down to the Chesapeake Bay. Take action today and make your voice heard!
